BANQUETING HALL
 
The elegantly designed De Kasteel with a capacity of 300 guests including a dance floor is a premier wedding venue and can be used for large-scale receptions. The room measures 587 square meters and can be partitioned into two areas for the smaller reception. This venue offers the latest technological facilities and hosts a full complement of staff to provide you with exceptional service. Secure parking is available adjacent to the chapel.
 
CHAPEL
 
Our Chapel is a rare gem set within the confines of our splendidly sculptured gardens and within walking distance of the banqueting hall, with a maximum seating capacity of 220. A humble place to conduct your most momentous ceremony.  
 
THE SPA AT KIEVITS KROON

 
Our award-winning wellness centre offers Jacuzzis, Steam Rooms, Hydrotherapy Baths, Solarium, Health Bar, Heated Swimming Pool and a number of treatment rooms for relaxing massages, facials and wraps. A visit to ‘The Spa’ at Kievits Kroon Country Estate is not complete without one of our popular treatments. ACCOMMODATION

Special accommodation rates will be offered to wedding guests. To ensure that none of your guests are disappointed, we recommend that you advise us well in advance of the number of rooms you will be requiring. Alternatively, your guests may make confirmed reservations directly with Kievits Kroon Country Estate & Spa. Should you reserve rooms on behalf of your guests and no payment or credit card details were received prior to the day, you will be liable for the payment of these rooms should the guest not arrive on the day, or if late cancellation occurs.
 

COMPLIMENTARY DRESSING ROOM
 
The bride will be offered a dressing room (one night double accommodation) compliments of Kievits Kroon including breakfast, depending on room availability and room type availability. This room can be utilized at the bride’s discretion either the night before the wedding date or the night of the wedding. The bride will be provided with a dressing mirror and mannequin in this room as well as refreshments for the people assisting the bride during the preparation for the ceremony (refreshments provided will be for four people). The Honeymoon Suite for the bridal couple can be booked at a special wedding rate per person sharing per night for any extra nights’ accommodation required.

 
MENUS
 
A Banqueting Menu Package will be provided, with a variety of menus prepared by our first class Chefs. Prior arrangements may be made to discuss or alter any menus to your specific requirements. Our Some dishes are subject to seasonal availability of some of the ingredients, so please bear this in mind when making your selection. A menu tasting can be arranged provided that at least one weeks’ notice is given; this will be charged at the per person menu price of the selected menu. Specialized dietary requirements such as Kosher or Halaal meals are subject to a surcharge per person.When selecting your menu, please bear in mind that a plated set menu requires a longer service time than a buffet.

Please note that any and all changes to your menu selection must be made in writing. Changes to the menu cannot be accepted later than 14 (fourteen) days prior to your Reception.

BAR SERVICE
 
Kievits Kroon Country Estate offers the option of either a cash bar or an open bar. Should you require an open bar, please let us know of your specifications, e.g. the limit on the bar, which items may be included or excluded and who the signatory for the bar account will be. Due to availability of some of the wines on our Wine List, we recommend that you make your wine selection at least 6 weeks in advance of your Wedding to ensure we have sufficient stock of your preferred wines available.

Whilst we prefer that guests order from our award-winning wine list, we also understand that certain wines may not be available through the Estate and therefore you may wish to bring your own specialty wine or sparkling wines. Should this be the case, we charge a corkage fee per bottle. Permission to bring such wines or sparkling wines must be gained in writing from the Estate at least 8 weeks prior to your wedding reception. Please also note that sherry, port and any other fortified wine, if required, must be ordered from Kievits Kroon Country Estate.

Please note that as a licensed premise, Kievits Kroon Country Estate cannot allow any alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages to be brought onto the premises for consumption or otherwise except where permission is received in writing from the Estate. Please note that any and all changes to your bar and beverage requirements must be made in writing. Changes to the bar arrangements cannot be accepted later than 14 (fourteen) days prior to your Reception. Additionally, please advise your DJ, musician, photographer, videographer and service providers. that they may not charge drinks to the bride and grooms bar account, unless we are advised in writing by the Bride and Groom that this is permissible.  

 
FURNITURE & EQUIPMENT
 
All furniture and equipment as listed supplied by us is at no extra charge - any additional items requested should be supplied or hired by the Bride & Groom at the Bride & Groom’s cost.

CANDLES & CONFETTI

Please note that we only allow candles in the Banqueting Hall and Chapel if the candleholders are wide enough to ensure no wax damage to linen or carpets will take place. Only biodegradable confetti may be used on the Estate.

SET-UP TIMES

To ensure the availability of both the Banquet Hall and the Chapel for you to add your own special touches prior to your Ceremony and Reception, please discuss the timings with our Wedding Coordinator. Take note that the venue will only be ready for inspection 1 hour prior to the commencement of the wedding. Please note that we require that all external suppliers, e.g. draping and décor consultants, technical staff, etc (i.e. non Kievits Kroon staff members) vacate the Chapel and the Banquet Hall at least 2 hours prior to the commencement of a wedding. We recommend that DJ’s, organists, choirs, photographers, etc. ensure they are set up and ready at least two hours prior to the commencement of the service or reception to avoid any last-minute impacts on your big day.
 

RECEPTION CUT-OFF TIME

The following cut-off times are a guideline – we suggest you discuss your order of service with our Wedding Coordinator in advance as Receptions or ceremonies that continue later than these times will be subject to a charge.
 
- Breakfast weddings are 12h00.
- Luncheon weddings are 20h00.
- Evening weddings is 01h00 the following day

 
SECURITY
 
To ensure that there will be no delay for your guests entering the Estate, we would appreciate a guest list at least 2 weeks prior to your Wedding. Please be reminded that guests are only permitted to enter via the main gate. Kievits Kroon Country Estate reserves the right to check all vehicles before allowing access to the Estate. We also request that you advise your wedding retinue and guests that no cars, including that of the Bride and Groom, may be tampered with in any way whilst on the Estate. Please note that the speed limit on the Estate is 20km/h.

DRESS CODE
In the interest of ensuring your Wedding day is special, we respectfully advise that the dress code is “Smart Casual”, i.e. no jeans, T-shirts, tracksuits, takkies/running shoes, slops, etc. should be worn. Additionally, please advise service providers that they too will be required to adhere to the dress code.

CHILD POLICY

Kindly note that Kievits Kroon Country Estate regrets no children under 14 years of age on the Estate. Please ensure your guests are aware of this when sending out your invitations. We do make an exception for the flower girls and page boys to attend the ceremony and reception – Please no however that NO children under the age of 14 will be allowed to sleep over on the estate.

WAITRONS

To ensure the guests’ relaxation and comfort during the function, waitrons are employed to attend to their every need. The minimum numbers are:
• Plated menus: 1 waitron per table
• Buffet menus: 1 waitron per table
• Extra waiters can be arranged upon request four weeks prior to the wedding

FINAL ARRANGEMENTS

A bridal feedback will be sent through to the bride four weeks before the wedding date. This must be returned to the Co-coordinator three weeks before the wedding date. An appointment will then be made for two weeks before the wedding date, to discuss final arrangements. Changes made between 2 – 4 weeks before the wedding will only be accepted if made in writing directly to the Co-coordinator. No changes will be done after the final co-ordination meeting (2 weeks before the wedding date). Appointments with the wedding co-coordinator can be scheduled during the week, between 08h00 – 17h00, and by prior arrangement over a weekend.
