Wedding Packages

Following are our options based on the amount of guests staying at the lodge.

Option 1 (Between 20 - 30 rooms booked)

Includes the following services:

1. A welcome drink served after the ceremony.
2. 12 bottles of Sparkling wine for toasting during the reception.
3. Exclusive use of our Restaurant and Bar.
4. Complimentary Honeymoon suite for the Bridal couple.
5. A romantic turn down with a fruit basket and Sparkling wine in the room.

Option 2 (Between 10 – 20 rooms booked)

includes the following services:

1. 12 Bottles of Sparkling wine for toasting at the reception
2. Complimentary Honeymoon Suite for the Bridal Couple
3. Complimentary Fruit Basket and Sparkling wine for the bridal couple
4. Exclusive use of the Reception venue
5. An Elite Buffet menu.

Option 3 (Between 1 – 10 rooms booked)

includes the following services:

1. Complimentary Honeymoon suite for the Bridal couple
2. Complimentary fruit basket and Sparkling wine.
3. Exclusive use of our “Inyati” conference Venue for the evening.
4. An Exclusive Set Menu for not more than 30 guests.
 

Chapel

We have a beautiful chapel overlooking our lake, and the Sabie river valley beyond. In the distance, the majestic Drakensberg Mountain range….Up to 100 guests awaiting you in the pews. Soft white curtain drapes billowing in the breeze, your favorite song playing and a red carpet to carry you down the aisle., and if you are really lucky our resident hippo’s Henry and Henrietta, could be grunting you a blessing from the water….no guarantees though. The setting sun, family and friends, what could be more perfect, to make your day memorable for life.

 Catering

We offer a selection of dishes either as a set menu, for not more than 30 guests, or a selection of dishes as a buffet for up to 100 guests.

 
General Information

The Bridal couple will be fully responsible for the payment of décor, flowers, overlays, and anything extra for the day. Umbhaba will make the bookings/ reservations but will not be kept responsible for any outstanding amounts owed to suppliers.

Umbhaba lodge can arrange the following services i.e. minister, priest or maybe even a sangoma, hair dressers, head and body massages, pedicures and manicures, flower arrangements, bridal bouquets, photographers, dj’s, bands, tribal dancers and much, much more. I will be more than happy to quote and assist in arranging the above mentioned services.

Please keep in mind that for smaller weddings, other guests might be accommodated at the lodge. These guests will be accommodated elsewhere in the lodge for dinner and will have no intrusion on the wedding party.

As a rule we do not allow any functions to extend later than 23h00, as consideration to other paying guests at the lodge. ( This only applies for smaller weddings) For larger weddings we can extend up to 12h00. Please keep in mind that we live in a rural area and our staff members travel great distances by taxi, and can not get any transport after 12.

You are welcome to source your own wines. A corkage fee per bottle will be charged.

As the name implies - the Induna suite is fit for a King. This deluxe suite comprises an open fireplace, en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, satellite television and jacuzzi. After a long day, relax with a sundowner on your private patio and anticipate the magnificent sunset and evening still to come. After celebrating deep into the night with your guests, delight in the exquisite Induna Honeymoon Suite, which sprawls over three levels.
